It would be quite handy if I could quickly open files (not compare editors) for changes in the synchronize view. The "Open" action in the context menu should be mapped to "Navigate > Open" and it should open the associated editor on F3.

This is not that ease because there is no Open command at that level: F3 is defined in JDT. We should decide whether this would make sense in Platform UI (add to ActionFactory).

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.
