CTabFolder provides a chevron if there are too many tabs to display in a
single row. This chevron has a tooltip that reads simply "Show List". It is
possible that the CTabFolder will be used in a context where "Show List" is
not entirely appropriate as a tooltip. It would be nice if the text of this
tooltip could be changed.

In the Eclipse SDK, the CTabFolder is used for views and editors. In the case
of editors, there is a command that shows this list. The name of this command
is "Open Editor Drop Down". There is a disconnect for the user between the
tooltip (Show List), and the command and menu items (Open Editor Drop Down).
It would be nice if we could override the tooltip for CTabFolder to be "Open
Editor Drop Down".

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
