Ladybugs

From the emo@ mail bag:

I hope you can consider change icon for the “eclipse BUGS”. Ladybugs are good bugs, they are helpers to farmers and gardeners. They eat bad bugs. They should not be used as symbol to represent “eclipse BUGS”.

My response:

I think that the ladybug is an excellent symbol for Eclipse Bugs. Eclipse bug reports are good things, they are helpers to contributors and committers. They help us root out what ails us and makes everything they touch better. Some are feature requests, enhancements, valuable discussions, and more. Still… I will pass on your concern to the community.

So community, should we look for another symbol? Or I have I distracted you enough already?

My youngest, when he sees a bugzilla page on my laptop, happily points at the image and shouts: “ladybug!”

It’s very cute when he does that. I wouldn’t want any other bug being displayed on the Eclipse Bugzilla banner. :-)

When there is a bug inside the computer, we don’t care if it’s cute or not, it’s just got to be taken out. Ladybugs are just fine with me. Scorpions would do just as well. :)

@Robert But the Scorpions will rock you like a hurricane!
