Liberate tutume ex illa sollicitudo
Addendum to this morning’s post:
As Ed correctly points out, Ganymede M3 is not a Release in the sense of a it being a Gold Master (GM) though it is generally available (GA) if you know where to look.
However, all the synonyms I’ve found have odd connotations associated with them…
- Emancipation? Say it with me in your best Charleton Heston voice:
“Let my milestones go!” - Deliverance? Insert banjo music… uh, no.
- Discharge? Uh, no thanks, and please go see a doctor.
- Emission? How green is *your* milestone?
- Issuance? Sounds about as fun as being served,
Bruce Campbell notwithstanding.
How about we call these liberations, as each should be accompanied by libation? “One for me, one for my milestone?”
Eheu! Liberate tutume ex illa sollicitudo!
