In the end, I think this is perhaps turning out better than we might have expected.  It's very clear that the Eclipse community is rife with passionate people who care about more than just their own little domains.   And it will be hard for people to slip back into apathy while enjoying the blissful free ride provided by the shrinking platform team...

As I said to Steve, I'm starting to thing there might have been some deviously clever thinking behind this "miswriting" of the announcement.  Anyone who suggests that e4 is code for ed, is just spreading misinformation though.  I have a feeling Ian or Wayne are being that rumor.  Probably Wayne; he laughed too hard.  But then again, Ian is a deviously clever marketeer, so I'm looking for the puppet strings.  I'll let the community know what dirt I manage to dig up on these two potential puppet masters...</description>
