Eclipse.org News on iGoogle
Some of you probably use iGoogle, Google’s personal portal site. For those who don’t, it’s essentially a personalized portal site with information from many sources and sites all displayed in a single page.
It turns out that it’s quite trivial to add RSS feeds as Google gadgets on your page. So what if you wanted to have Eclipse.org news and announcements show up as widgets on your Google page? These links will do that for you:
- Eclipse.org Announcements
- Eclipse.org Project Reviews
- Development Process Changes
- Eclipse Live
- Planet Eclipse
I’m sure there are plenty of other feeds around on our site. You can add any feed to iGoogle simply by prepending “http://fusion.google.com/add?feedurl=” to the URL and fetching it in your browser. But for now I thought this might give people a head start.
Here’s a screenshot of the Planet feed on my iGoogle page:
