MyFoundation Portal Gets a Facelift

Committers and members are familiar with the MyFoundation Portal that has become a key face of the Foundation in the last year and a half. When you logged in, components on the screen looked like this.

Gabe and I hacked on the Portal on Friday and Gabe did some more hacking this morning, and those square corners have been given a more Web 2.0 look with round corners and slightly larger borders. Here are the results! We hope you enjoy the new look!

    Looks great!

The “Useful Links” box waaay down at the bottom of the page (why isn’t it in the top-right?) looks a little blocky by comparison now.

Will there be a new rounded corner design for those <div class=”sideitem”>…&lt/div>s, too? :)

    Hey Nick,

We had a discussion yesterday about the useful links box, and I think it’s going to go away completely. We’ll be working toward better integration with the committer tools anyway, and that’s really the only link of consequence in that box.

    Cheersm

Agreed, and though I find it handy to be linked from the portal, I suppose I can go back to finding it from http://dev.eclipse.org -> Development Resources -> Other Resources -> Committer tools.

(Less than four clicks would be nice, though.)

Denis has leapt(!) to your rescue and integrated the commiter tools menu into the Portal. Should be rolled out soon.

    Thanks!

    More ideas…
